Arrive by Water
The way the castle was meant to be seen
Our partners run cruises and paddles to the estate from both shores — the approach across the water is the one Whittell designed for.
Cruise Tahoe — Captain-Guided Cruise & Tour
A full-morning voyage from Tahoe Keys Marina aboard a classic 1950 wooden motor yacht, with a captain-guided lodge tour and picnic lunch. Sixteen guests max.
Tahoe Star — Yacht Cruise & Lodge Tour
South Shore departures with the only guided experience docking at the lodge’s private pier.
Tahoe Adventure Company — Kayak Tour
The only guided kayak trip to the lodge: launch at Sand Harbor, paddle 1.5 miles of granite-boulder shoreline, land at the beach for a walking tour and gazebo lunch.
Know Before You Go
A historic estate, not a theme park
No private vehicles
All public tours travel by shuttle from the Welcome Center at 969 Tahoe Blvd, Incline Village. Arrive ten minutes early.
Ages 6 and up
The estate’s stone paths, stairs, and tunnel aren’t suited to little ones. Wine tours are 21+.
